PROGRAM SUMMARY Time’s have changed. It’s no longer enough to just tell students to be courteous, don’t do drugs, and don’t get pregnant. We believe developing character in the next generation must begin with the challenge to lead. To leverage their influence in a positive way.
Habitudes are images that form leadership habits and attitudes. Specifically designed for Generation Y, they teach timeless leadership principles with the power of an image, a conversation, and an experience. THE PURPOSE To nurture character-based leaders within the student body, and healthy leadership qualities in your staff and faculty. Ultimately this creates a robust leadership culture on your campus

THE PROGRAM Perhaps Dr. Leonard Sweet has summarized this generation of students best with his acronym: EPIC. The term is descriptive of how the Millennial Generation thinks, learns and experiences life. To connect with students today, we believe it should be done in an EPIC manner. This generation is: |
| | | | E: Experiential: They want an experience, not just information
| | | | | P: Participatory: They want to participate in outcomes, not just hear a lecture
| | | | | I: Image-driven: They are driven by images and pictures more than words
| | | | | C: Connected: They are relationally connected and want to work in team
|
Most students are visual learners. They like to see a picture, not just hear a word. In fact, Dr. Sweet says that images are the language of the 21st century, not words. Habitudes uses powerful pictures to teach leadership truths and character principles in an EPIC fashion that is engaging and memorable. As a result, students remember the content and are inspired and equipped to build their character and use their influence to lead others well.
